Use of bottom ash as part replacement of sand for making concrete blocks

Coal-based thermal power plants all over the world facing serious problems of handling and disposal ash produced. The productive use coal Bottom Ash (BA) is best way to alleviate associated with its disposal. This paper covers studies on laboratory scale evaluation vibro compaction concrete blocks using BA I, II & III collected from three different location Coal Fed Thermal Power Station. In present investigation have been carried utilize as part replacement sand in concrete. study cover manufacture without flyash for making solid block per specification laid down IS:2185 machine. Three sources were used mix each @ 30%, 40% 50% by weight adopted blocks. Comparative compressive strength at age curing, wet density, drying shrinkage reported this study.
